Gearbox

Gearbox faults can be caused by worn gears, synchronisers or drive shafts. We can replace defective parts or carry out maintenance, including changing the oil or grinding the gear surfaces.

In-depth inspection

If your gearbox fails, your car may have problems shifting, spinning or even coming to a standstill.

The repair process begins by opening and then visually inspecting the gearbox for obvious signs of damage, such as oil leaks or broken parts.
Solving minor problems

If the problem is minor, such as changing the transmission oil or replacing a faulty speed sensor, we will carry out the necessary repairs without having to dismantle the gearbox. However, if the gearbox is seriously damaged, mechanics will probably have to remove it in order to inspect it and carry out the necessary repairs.
Replacement of faulty parts and functional testing

We can replace faulty parts, such as synchros, forks, seals and bearings. We also check the clutch, if necessary, and the flywheel.

After repairs, we carry out function tests to ensure that the gearbox is working properly and that it meets the manufacturer’s performance standards. If necessary, we adjust the tension of the control cables and the pressure of the transmission oil.
